Here's a story I'd rather not tell, but here it goes. If nothing more, as a reminder to myself.
I was working on other projects when I got this idea. A super simple site that could target so many keywords just by wrapping a npm library.
Shiny object syndrome.
I worked, and worked, and worked.
This pSEO website was meant to be a simple weekend project — a brief escape from my other ongoing tasks and a chance to achieve a quick win.
However it is never that simple. It is never that easy. Feature creep, scope creep, over engineering and the site took me 2 months to build, and that's for a basic version.
And now, doing the in-depth research after building 🙈, I see I've underestimated the competition and overestimated the number of keywords I could target.
Very litte traffic 😐.
After being quite fed up with the site, I did a short work session where I 5x'd the number of indexable pages, and thus, the number of keywords.
I don't think it'll boost the site signifficantly, but at just a coupe of hours, it was a very obvious thing to do. Now for the waiting.
If the site picks up some traffic I'll be happy to expand on it. If not, this might be it for site #1.
Time flies 😅.
The site now sits as ~80 organic visitors a day, and around 40,000 in total.
That's a big bump from the last update, but not exactly a rocket.
I don't see myself picking it up. I have more exciting projects in line 😁.
This site is part of my pSEO website portfolio.
